BIOGRAPHY

Tenor Max Jota in 2022 has been awarded with the Judita Award for the role of Gabriele Adorno in Simon Boccanegra by Verdi at Split Summer Festival and has been recognized by the Opera Britannia magazine among the best 2014 worldwide male performers along his debut in the title role of Les Contes d’Hoffmann at Teatro Verdi in Pisa (Italy).

He perfomed his musical studies at the Studio Opera Toscano (LTL), at the High Level Interpretation Course for Opera Singers of the International Academy of Lyric Art (Accademia Lirica Internazionale di Arte Lirica) in Osimo, at the School of Italian Opera (Scuola dell’Opera Italiana) of Teatro Comunale in Bologna as well at the Federal University of Paraiba - UFPB in João Pessoa, Brazil.

Among his main awards, worth to mention are the First Prize Winner of the International Operatic Voice Competition (Concorso Internazionale Voce Lirica) of the Castrocaro International Festival, winner of the Best Interpreter Prize at the Riccardo Zandonai International Competition in Riva del Garda; winner of the Best Interpreter Prize of Antonio Carlos Gomes at the Maria Callas International Competition in São Paulo, Brazil.

Puccini), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly - G. Puccini), Rodolfo (La Boheme - G. Puccini), Turiddu (Cavalleria Rusticana– P. Mascagni), Don Jose’ (Carmen - G. Bizet), Enzo Grimaldo (La Gioconda - A. Ponchielli), Riccardo (Un Ballo in Maschera - G. Verdi), Gabriele Adorno (Simon Boccanegra – G. Verdi), Macduff (Macbeth – G. Verdi), Oronte (I Lombardi alla prima crociata – G. Verdi), Ismaele (Nabucco - G. Verdi), Alfredo Germont (La Traviata - G. Verdi), Duca di Mantova (Rigoletto - G. Verdi), Messa da Requiem (G. Verdi), Giorgio (Marcella – U.
